Smoking Samsung 46" LCD

Day 2 of watching my brand new TV!

Smokin!

First, the picture went out while the TV was still on and the sound still going. All of a sudden, I heard the circuits short and a plume of white smoke filled my apartment!

this happens because of the crap capasiters on the board, thats the problems. they overheat and pop. leaking some kind of fluid and smoke. im in the prosses of changing my compasiters out with some new ones.

after that did you try to turn on the lcd again? there was pictures and sound or did it die completely?

lad something must of come off and went where the lcd gets really hot and burned of its just friyed sorry for tge spelling mitake on my ipod so hard to type

This just happened to me on my bush 32"

Did you ever get the problem fixed?

Heard a pop, followed by the smell of burning plastic, then the picture started to dim and thats when the smoke started to bail out :(

anyone know why this happens as my 46" samsung led hdtv did exactly this ( white smoke ) today..but the screen didnt go balck or anything like that?

@gamer4lifecod Well I got a 46" Samsung too, I guess I will find out. I thought Samsung was a top brand. I love it so far, I guess I will see. I don't have to worry about it for 4 years though, i got a 4 year bestbuy protection plan. Sometimes i get the protection plan. Who know's I maybe not a have a problem with it, don;t know. I know it has a great sound system. My old tv is a 27" RCA and it stil works like new, had it for about 9 years.

i have a samsung 42 inch and for 2 years it gave no problems ...now the tv has a problem,i will never buy a samsung until they fix the turning on and off fault .

samsung use cheap parts,buy a panasonic or a sony bravia...i have now brought a panasonic 42 inch plasma very good tv...................
