i will say this of the waffen ss. i heard it said once about the soldiers of the waffen ss

that" no greater soldier fought for a worse cause". the were the best germany had to offer and despite what they stood for i have a high degree of respect for their abilities as fighting men. no soldier was more loyal to their cause than the waffen ss.

@firstsspanzer True my friend, they fought a war for a worse cause, but they were Nazi Germanys strongest and most courageous unit and I wish they would put to another use in the warfare than what they were forced to do.

@firstsspanzer despite the holocaust part but could you really blame them for fighting for what they thought is right? they were being pushed around to much same as japan so they started their cause and stood up against their enemy's and fought back for what was right in their eyes

And they very nearly did, 7 miles from Moscow, when they were beaten by nature and its freezing winter -50C.

They very nearly did it, had they started the Russian offensive 2-3 weeks earlier they would have taken Russia, and we today in Europe and America would be a whole lot healthier, with astounding scientific progress, we would probably already be on mars now. Plus world hunger and pollution would be ended.
