  • I like the flipped it version...but I prefer the original jazz version

  • i can't believe that throughout my 16 years of life, i havent heard this song until now.... FUCK IT, erykah badu is the best female singer of all time, hands down. props. im gonna blast this in my car in the summer

  • @emcleod2192 : Excellent explanation! I've heard the lyrics over and over and have been passively interpreting them for some time, but yours is right on the dot, in my opinion. I guess I didn't truly understand everything because I haven't experienced any of this before xD But wow, suddenly this song is very beautiful once again. Thank you.

  • I think her beautiful soul shone out and she attracted someone unexpectedly. She gave him a chance and he started to play games with her head. She caught on and her independent soul realized that no man was going to control her.......she is her own person. I love this song because it reminds me of my experience with men!

  • turn my back then you sliped me a mickey

the world is mine when i wake up

  • Double entendre at its finest!

  • The one dislike must be the person who tried to slip her a Mickey.

  • Ha! I always thought this was the original version.

  • @SuperElleBaby TRUTH!!

  • ilove this woman :]

  • "certainly not me"

  • @lecifbaby For some reason i have the memory that this song is about slavery. About how the Africans were enslaved and told who they would be without their permission.

  • if this iznt the best song on her album idk wat is then....u got the beat just right bobbin ur head...its more like a city beat...cruze @ night with this beat

  • i love both versions. But I love this one a lil bit more.
