Why not use a STINGER??

Police in Britain have released CCTV footage which shows an officer chasing a suspect after being hit by a stolen car.

The incident took place on July 3 in Surrey. Police officers had been alerted that a BMW stolen in nearby Middlesex in June had been spotted heading southbound on the M25 motorway before taking the Chertsey exit. CCTV footage released by Surrey police on Tuesday shows officers trying to set up a roadblock on the slip road when the stolen BMW collides with their stationary vehicle. One of the officers, PC Dan Pascoe, who had climbed out of the car, was thrown into the air by the force of the collision.

He got to his feet, however, and gave chase to the suspect, 29-year-old Lee Ralph Adamson, who had abandoned the BMW. The police officer caught up with Adamson and arrested him on suspicion of vehicle theft and other driving offences. Adamson was charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and resisting arrest.

He pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to 23 months in prison last week.

I'm not so sure about that. If they were trying to get away they would have driven beside the police car in the middle of the road. Going straight through it seems like something you would do if you are trying to get caught, lol :P
