While this is a rousing song, I did not vote for it in the referendum. God Bless Australia is a much better song for an anthem but as it uses Waltzing Matilda for the tune it was confusing. Advanced Australia Fair was and still is the Best choice

@Moutro2 Anything but the current anthem (because it's so ridiculously boring) and flag would be nice - we're pretty far removed from a British colony these days.

Well it's no La Marsellaise, but it's a heck of a lot better than the dirge we call our national anthem

"Song of Australia" is a much better anthem than "Advance Australia Fair". It has a key and chord patterns that align with the other great anthems of the world. I cringe inside when I hear the present anthem played after something like "The Star Spangled Banner", "Deutchland Uber Alles", "God Defend New Zealand" and even "God Save the Queen". Trust our lot to choose a nasal, low range and inadequate national song. "Staynzall lead arse r'joice.."

Adavance Australia Fair is a politically correct dirge sanitised of any inspirational musical qualities, truly boring, makes you want to cringe when you hear it. But the Song of Australia is a great anthem! Its melody fits the genre of the other great Aussie songs: Waltzing Matilda, Road to Gundagai, Click Go the Shears and Wild Colonial Boy. Can only guess the folk in the eastern states hadn't heard the Song of Australia before they voted in the plebiscite.

i love the anthem ! i whould like to go to your home country ! thank you for sharing this video ! but i think the present anthem is different from this one ! let me ceck ! i think this is a older version
