  • what kind of engine is it 4.0(v6)?

  • @bikeboy0012 --- No it's a 2.3L 4 cylinder..

  • did you notice a incress in MPG?

  • @erikblazer13 --- Yes, see the links in the description. Over an extended testing period I got on average a 10.88% gain in MPG. This mod really helps the performance of my truck and a save a some fuel to boot.

  • LOL! That's because you're a frothing HHO cult loon. (No offense intended.)

  • LOL! Dude! I'm not a god damned fucking Medican third world shitter.

'Course my *ancestors* invaded North America, slaughtered every last god damned citizen they could find, raped and poisoned the occasional survivor, and gave birth to Republicanism, but by golly their honkey white skin hue makes it all okay since Baby Jesus was also a honkey.

  • @901Jetta --- I have seen data that shows how those spacers can help with HP and MPG but I just haven't tried one out yet. Have you seen the GadgetmanGroove's groove videos? I have thought about this too but right now the transmission is out in my Ranger. So for the time being my projects are on hold...

  • @901Jetta --- Thanks... I just saw that I wasn't subscribed to you so I sub'd you just now.

  • @CactusBobsPlace --- That seems odd to me, backfiring in the intake indicates a timing issue or a valve problem. Neither one of those problems could be caused by this mod. Backfiring in the exhaust could be caused if it leans out the A/F ratio enough. You might have a bad IAT sensor and/or a bad MAF sensor. In my experience this mod works great. I should also mention that prior to this mod I replaced the cat converter with a high flow model, this might have also had an effect on my system.

  • I did this and ran into a little bit of trouble . removed the insert . when cold outside(40F) motor cold I had little backfires in the intake not bad just little ones enough that I was worried about the mass airflow sensor . I do think there was a little more pickup but just a little . i put it back in and the intake backfire stopped . so that's the way it's staying

  • @BlackDogSociety Well be carefull. Sometimes they put little air breakers in vehicles to help atomize the air for a cleaner burn. Looking at this setup I dont think it matters if you had that in there or not. GM had these little aluminum honey comb lookin things on the 3.8 throttle body instead of that weird ford bullet thing.

  • @adamberg666 --- LOL, in not building a racing truck, I'm exploring how much MPG I can get out of this truck.
