I applaude Bigitte but I wish she didn't wear her religion on her sleeve. Western culture as it exists today owes it to the Renaissance, The Enlightenment, the French revolution. and inquiry via the scientific method. More than half the population in select European countries have no religious affiliation. Islam STILL lives in the 7th centrury & their "flock" takes every passage literally just as Christian loonies believe in a talking burning bush & that hell-fire awaits those who reject Jesus.
