The individual who said this is unrealistic has clearly never flown sailplanes or any other type of aircraft. I have over 500 hours in various types of sailplanes and powered aircraft and I find the FSX soaring simulation very realistic. This video is excellent and I commend the author for a fine job.

I'm a glider pilot myself and really recommend 'Condor Soaring' for soaring simulation. I'd never the feeling that it is much more easy in simuation than in real. Provided you are using proper controls with pedals and no autokoordination.

The graphic of FSX is really nice. But I wouldn't like the empty seat and the string missing. The string is one of the most important flight attitude indicators on soaring planes.

The annoying beeping keeps your eyes on probably colliding traffic. Very useful

Wie bist du so hoch gekommen? Wenn ich mit dem Segelflugzeug fliege, dann komme ich immer nur ein paar Meter hoch und sinke gleich wieder.

gibts im FS inzwischen die Möglichkeit auch Winde und F-Schlepp durchzuführen?

Bin früher während ich den Schein gemacht habe ab und zu mit dem FS(ich glaub FS2002) diverse Dinge nachgeflogen, zufrieden war ich aber nie, weil vieles im FS nicht simuliert ist: F-Schlepp, vernünftige Thermik, Wellen, Seitengleitflug, usw... Aber vllt. gibts das ja jetzt alles?

Bin auf "Condor" umgestiegen, der hat zwar nicht so eine schöne Graphik wie der FS X, aber ist auf jeden Fall sehe realistisch!

if you want a more realistic soaring experience in FSX don't use the default glider and get an add-on glider instead. A really good add-on glider for FSX is the Aerosoft Discus

but i have to say they made it in fsx much easyer

gliding in FSX, is fun, but somewhat unrealistic.

I have flown a sailplane.

and the nose keep pointing the same direction during turns.

that's why you use the rudder much more that in FSX.

Jemand sollte mal ein Fsx server machen, wo nur für zum Segelfliegen gebraucht wird. Wäre mal intressant zusammen in der Thermik zu kreisen oder am hang zu fliegen.
