It is the Fed that is the instrument that permits inflation by book-entry money. Every dollar of inflation becomes profit for the Fed when the Treasury security given to the Fed by Congress is sold. The Fed obtained $8.4 trillion last year from the auction of Treasury securities---OFF OF THE BOOKS--without Congress and the public being aware of it !!!!
