This stop motion video was created by Dan Kane for ART 307 (New Media Design) at the University of Delaware, under instruction by professor Amy Hicks. All illustrations, narrative, and voice overs were done by myself. I wanted to create a historically accurate, yet satirical narrative of the history of our great nation from Columbus to Obama. I recorded our history very accurately and thought that it was very unpatriotic and critical, yet a comical at the same time. I have never been into politics nor have I ever cared to much about elections or that kind of thing but I thought this video really brought out my emotions and truly expressed my criticisms our countrys down falls. This is not meant to be racists or offensive; I simply documented major historical events and expressed my opinions on them.

I'd like to thanks Kelsey for her Xacto knife and camera cord and Tim for letting me use all of his tape... it means a lot

  • 0:14 - 0:15 - The Bahamas are "America," just not the United States of America. The West Indies, South America and North America make up "America." People on Spanish speaking countries seem too know this. References to the USA as synonymous with "America" can be traced to the ego of early 18th century British imperialists. At the time of the revolution and for some time afterwards, the S was no more religious than the N, and fanatical religion was more common in the N & on the frontier.
