I would actually prefer gymnastics how it was then when it was clean and beautiful,while now it's cheap looking with so much difficulty and people messing up

I was 7 yrs. old in 1972, and amidst the tragedy of the Munich Olympics, I was(and to this day still)captivated by the balletic beauty of Soviet gymnastics. Korbut, Kim, Tourischeva and others were amazing talents with grace and strength to match. Thank you Kevin for capturing the essence of that beauty with this video

@gymnast2135 Blech, yeah. You look at the medalists in Beijing 2008... it's just pure ugliness. Impressive talent, but the slightest error throws it off and it's such an eyesore to look at.

@KillaKitty09 - To be fair I dont think Olga was as 'polished' as Nadia.....I dont see the sheer aura either with Comaneci but there you go......Tourisheva it has been said was far more technically correct than Olga!

@KillaKitty09 i read in Dan Gutman's book that because they overscored some of the romanian girls a bit too much in the beginning of the rotation,since nadia was clearly better,they had to give her a 10
