Grave Of The Fireflies AMV - Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte (by Ravel)

This is my first AMV of my favorite anime 'Grave of the Fireflies'. The song I chose is the classical piano piece 'Pavane pour une infante defunte' (Pavane for a dead princess) by Ravel. It's one of my favorite classical pieces and I think it fits really well with the tragic story of Setsuko. Unfortunately I had to edit the song, because it is originally about 6,5 mins long. This rendition is by Wibi Soerjadi. Hope you like my AMV!

how do you get the clips for these videos to work with?

I've been looking all over for them

I had downloaded an ogm file of the movie. I converted it into divx without subs and opened the divx file in windows movie maker. Movie maker automatically divided it into clips.

But that was over 2 years ago. Now, I would rip the dvd, or just use the ogm file (or any type of file with softsubs), so I can get clips without subs. Convert it into avi and use avisplitter to cut clips from the movie and edit it with adobe premier pro or sony vegas pro.

I remember crying when I first saw this film. It touched my heart so much, because children shouldn't have to die or suffer at the cost of war, malnutrition, etc. Thank you for putting this video together and sharing it with us.
