The song about the Tunnel 13 incident and the making of the guitar. The Last Great American Train Robbery took place in October of 1923 in Tunnel 13, on train 13, pulling 13 cars. The would-be robbers killed 4 people and changed many lives forever. This is a song about the people and the amazing Redwood that came from that tunnel and is now being made into incredible guitars by Bruce and Matt Petros of Petros Guitars. The Song is by LJ Booth and is available on his new CD, "The Road That Leads Me Home."

  • Thanks. I just got back from the Healdsburg Guitar Festival, so sorry if this is late.

  • Fascinating!!!! The guitars are absolutely beautiful. It is really nice that you wrote about the history and the accompanying song is poignant.

  • high best acoustic guitar . nice tone . a dream guitar

  • LJ's been one of my favorite songwriters for years. Marriage to a superlative guitar builder...

    ....magic was bound to happen.

  • Thank you - what a gorgeous guitar and a beautiful song. Ashland Railroad Museum has tried to bring this story back to life. We did a memorial hike of the tunnel last year and laid a wreath in honor of the men who were slain. We would love to talk to you about your story.

  • Thank you. The guitar and the music are gorgeous. Ashland Railroad Museum did a memorial hike of the Tunnel last year and laid a wreath on the Tunnel. One of the DeAutremont cousins read a prayer of forgiveiness from the family. This year we have a young woman reading from her Great Grandmonther diary who was on the train with her little boy when it was robbed. I would love a copy of the song. It is beautiful. Thank you
