Brit Hume on Fox News Sunday weighing in on the Blagojevich appointment of Burris imparts some more of his infinite wisdom on the masses like Blago is just like a Gitmo detainee. I don't think so Brit. And that Fitz can't be trusted since he didn't get all his convictions on Libby. Fitzgerald has been a straight shooter and gone after members of both parties, and if he says he has something on tape, then he probably does. The only thing I agree with him on is that the Democrats might want to just appoint Burris at this time to avoid a media circus. And the media will turn it into a circus.
Let all Gitmo prisoners go. Appoint some to Obama cabinet positions. Have the rest join ACORN to help Obama's supporters register and vote 67 time in 2012. If there are any left...they should be used for Obama's online donation scheme. Just have George Soros give each one a couple million for support. No one will ever know. In the mean time I am now enjoying my President Elect Obama Decorative Plates. There is just something about his "kind eyes" as the commercial says. Change..I'm not sure of.

What a liar and a hypocrite Hume is. Isn't he retiring?

I'm a lifelong Illinoisan, and Blago is a complete scumbag. He should have simply resigned, however, he's completely focused on his own ambitions. Now he's muddied the waters with racial politics?!? Roland Burris is qualified at least.
Brit Hume deserves to be waterboarded, see how he likes it.

Yeah, yeah. Blago is innocent, period.
Wanker.

Oh FOX news, desperate as ever, if not MORE desperate than ever.
"Hey FOX? Who's the leader now?"
Lololol.

crazytvfan815 beat me to it. I normally can't stand Hume. But Hume is right. I'm sure Blago is guilty, but he's not guilty by law yet and therefore has ever right to act in keeping with his office. To do otherwise is a witch hunt. We have due process for a reason, we split from the King of England for this very reason and our country is founded on this right. Hume is correct here.

Plus, they can always kick Burris out of the Senate if they later discover there was something corrupt about his selection.
I don't like Hume, and I think he's drastically understating the taint on Blago, but still.

Wow, I'd never thought I'd say it, but Hume is 100% right here. The Democrats in Illinois and Congress are being stupid as hell by refusing to seat Burris. The only person seating Burris in the long run would hurt is Burris himself. Plus, the more they object, the more it stays in the news.

Interesting perspective. Hume never keeps either his political views or personal animosities hidden, does he?

I agree on the fact that Blago appointed a qualified person.
