They are protesting the IRS because our tax dollars go to fund the government and military. I protest the Iraq War but do not want a nanny government and I live in NY which is one of the most liberal states.

I'm not defending the politics or politicians here, I'm defending the police, they aren't doing anything wrong. That could have easily escalated into something resembling a soccer riot if the police weren't there. Please go and protest if you believe in it, Its entirely your right to. But if you did something stupid like throw a rock or spit on a cop, you're gonna go to jail. I'd arrest you if you threw something at me or spit on me, which is what happens. Cops are there to keep order.

People get arrested for social unrest all the time, always have, and always will. Some people do stupid shit at protests, like spit on a cop or throw something, then resist arrest, and then you get that. I hardly see what those arrests have to do with political detainment. Seriously man, thats a really really big assumption. If it were a big brother arrest, it'd happened when no one was looking, at night, during a raid. He was most likely arrested for doing something stupid. Be reasonable.

So illustrate what the difference would be between arresting an unruly protestor and a casing a political criminal. The Federal police needs assistance from states police and cities police to enforce the Patriot Act and yes, their identity will be checked and yes they are going to be filed into computer databases. C'mon, thats just a dumb answer man. I think the patriot act is way fucked too, but thats a pretty poorly thought out answer. Big brother had absolutely nothing to do with that, they aren't even federal police making the arrests(a huge P.A. concern of mine, along with IDs). Get your conditions of the state right before you make such absurd statements, people, just remember those who change must be those who are educated and those who think.
