All helpful tips, but would it kill someone to have some tips for those of us who've grown up with dogs and are looking to actually adopt their own dog for the first time? I've grown up with big rescue dogs and dogs with health issues. Now I'm just looking for some tips on stuff that I don't already know from experience.
