John Bonifaz's testimony at John Conyers' hearing on Iraq War on the possible impeachment of George W Bush for treason and other high crimes. He is testifying on behalf of the Downing Street coalition, which he co-founded. The Downing street memo and other sources are referenced. Witnesses at the hearing were Joe Wilson, Ray McGovern, John Bonifaz, and then-little-known Cindy Sheehan. Bonifaz is running for secretary of state in Massachusetts against Bill Galvin in the 2006 Democratic primary. The original source of this video is: indymedia. • ik nog nen andere bonifaz!

  • For further arguments in favor of impeachment, go to the PBS website and locate the "Bill Moyers Journal" program. Find the interview with John Nichols (liberal) and Bruce Fein (conservative)--both in favor of impeachment. As they point out, impeachment is not a crisis, it is the solution to a crisis--and the duty of Congress to assert its co-equal status under our Constitution. Contact your representatives to urge Nancy Pelosi to put impeachment back on the table.

  • American politicians love hearings but they dont actually ever do anything just hearings to appease their loyal citizens

  • P.S. Search for "John Bonifaz" on YouTube and you'll find several others, including one of his campaign speeches from 2006, and a conversation on the street in Ohio about election reform and voting machines, after the 2004 election.

  • bt894644, it's not that there was a good counter-argument, it's that Congress was controlled by Republicans who were in denial about it. ... and now it's pretty much too late, Congress has too much to work on and Bush is gone in less than two years anyway. Though if he defies subpoenas or something like that, they may have no choice but to waste their time on an impeachment :/

  • Getting it off your chest here is good

    BUT

We need to boycott OIL and get in the streets.

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA PLEASE??

  • So... what was the counter-argument? Why wasn't Bush impeached??

  • DO IT ... i volunteer to hold art classes for the expresident George W. Bush in prison as a visiting tutor.

  • Too little too late ... still better than nothing.

I think they should be burned at the stake for crimes against humanity and treason.
