There was this Guy, He lived about two thousand years ago. I hear He was called the Son of God or something. He said a few things, a few things some of His self-claimed followers seem to conveniently ignore.

No, he wasn't loyal to his God. Eight years of unrepentant action pretty much proved that. It's not unpopular to say you're a Christian, that's pretty damned popular. What's unpopular is actually following Jesus Christ. Just look and see how much this comment gets ranked down.
