These are the final minutes of the DALLAS Season 10 (1986-87) Cliffhanger "Fall Of The House Of Ewing", the episode in which longtime cast member Susan Howard and original cast member Victoria Principal depart the series.

After JR's involvement with mercenary BD Calhoun has cost the family Ewing Oil, Jeremy Wendell, the head of Westar Oil (and JR's arch-nemesis, next to Cliff Barnes) gloats not only that he is now the owner of the Ewing Oil building, but that he sent the Justice Department after the Ewings. JR threatens revenge on Wendell, as well as his life when he attempts to remove the oil painting of JR's father Jock Ewing. JR removes the photo himself and shows to his young son John Ross that Jock Ewing is Ewing Oil, and they leave.

Meanwhile, after being nearly scared off the road by some drunken hooligans, Pamela happy calls Bobby from his car after he doctor's appointment to relay that she can now carry a baby to full term (something she has never been able to do). Bobby tells her to hurry home so they can "work" on it. Pamela hangs up and screams as she crashes into an oil tanker, engulfing both vehicles in flames.

This episode is named "Fall Of The House Of Ewing" appropriately, as this episode marks the final appearance of Susan Howard as Donna Culver Krebbs, but also the final time Victoria Principal is seen as Pamela Barnes Ewing

JR Ewing - Larry Hagman
John Ross Ewing - Omri Katz
Jeremy Wendell - William Smithers
Bobby Ewing - Patrick Duffy
Pamela Barnes Ewing - Victoria Principal

  • "WENDELL!" -you know it's serious when they do the zoom in on JR and play the dramatic music.

  • "WENDELL! You touch that painting and I'll kill you where you stand." JR's serious looks tells all. Don't mess with JR Ewing that's for sure.

  • JR was certainly a man whom everyone, myself included, loved to hate, but Wendell made one HELL of a mistake against him! Wendell eventually got his in the end! With a one way ticket to the slammer!

  • I think any Jock Ewing fan would've killed Wendell

  • its funny all JR wanted was to make is father proud...

  • I remember this episode as a kid. When Wendel said "and take this eyesore with you", I originally thought he said asshole!!!

  • DUH, no such device as a bluetooth in 1987

  • HANG UP DA PHONE BITCH!!

  • what a woman.....she's spectacular

  • All she had to do was reduce her speed

  • And that is why you need to look where you are going when driving and why using the telephone should be illegal (as I think it is just about everywhere now).

  • Even in defeat Jr shows pride and fight, and that he's still a bad ass!
