guy ritchie is a pretty good director, he's no nolan or tarinto or even the coen brothers but he still had snatch two smokin barels and yea this was a pretty good movie and te new one looks great by the trailer

Ok, this guy's so ful of it he can't help but talk s**t. I wasn't a fan of this movie because it lost the essence of Holmes and traded it for some hot-blooded action. I can't knock that because most people like that so film = s**t/good (depending on your preferences. Critic = arse-head.

It's always funny when people are like "he's an idiot" "he doesn't know what he's talking about". These movie critics have seen thousands of movies, you really think they should praise every new movie? Ones like Sherlock Holmes/Avatar/Public Enemies (movies that are pretty good, but some people hate them)?
Let's face it, there are Twilight fans complaining somewhere that critics are idiots, and then there's fanboys telling how much X-Men part 42 rocks and how much Twilight sucks.

this guy needs to go to hell. i saw avatar... loved it. i saw Sherlock Holmes... might be my favorite movie of 2009. dont listen to tht guy. i dont think one person who commented actually agreed with this guy. this movie deserves a 4.5 or a 4 atleast! i dont know it u wud agree with me, but i hinestly rate it a 5. but thats my opinion.

Frankly I really enjoyed the movie.
The fact that the magic was all explained by items planted in the movie felt like a very Holmes move to me.
I actually found the action to flow well as Sherlock would go through the fight scene in slow motion explaining the details of damage and then proceed to do exactly that but in real time speed.
It had enough Action, Humor, and Wit to make it highly entertaining.
My only gripe is that if you didn't listen to Holmes constantly, you would be lost.
