On Nov 18th, 2008 over 1000 fans packed San Fran's Castro Theatre to pay tribute to legendary star Tony Curtis. In a heartfelt interview, spiced with bowdy humor, Curtis reveals all about Marilyn Monroe, the making of SOME LIKE IT HOT, his shapely butt, his daughter Jamie Lee & his inner demons. As an extra he reenacts a famous scene from the classic SPARTACUS. The evening was co-produced by Marc Huestis Presents and the Mill Valley Film Festival.

  • Now Curtis says nice things about her, but 48 years ago he said kissing her was like kissing Hitler.

  • grinding and giving him tongue sandwichs? I wish marilyn were still alive to tell her side instead of tony getting all this attention at her expense....people did that to her all her life.......this is shameful...I hate it....

  • @MommieDearest67 I have read the biographie from him, and he said, he found the quest stupid, how to it kissing marilyn. Because of that, he said, kissing her was like kissing Hitler. sorry for my bad english...

  • He tells the stories different every interview....

  • After watching him in various interviews about Marilyn and him pretending to say nice things and than say she was always on her knees it makes me sick. I use to like him not it just makes me sick to see him in interviews.

  • @MommieDearest67 which was meant as a joke, meaning she was kissing him so aggressively in "Some like it hot". Curtis has explained himself many many times and he regrets having said that because everybody keeps quoting that one sentence without the context.

  • @Erika8156 you know, my granny has a problem with remembering numbers, meaning years, dates, somebody's birthday, somebody's age, BUT she remembers what she experienced with whom and where and she has a lot to tell. When you, Erika8156, look back in your memories, you see pictures, people at certain places, but you don't necessarily remember the date or the year. And nobody would think you're lying just because you can't get the dates straight.

  • The Prince of Hollywood RIP

  • @waybec102 - I liked him, enjoyed his movies immensely, and thought he was funny and charming! I'm hoping Turner Movie Classics will be featuring as many of his movies as possible soon. Rest in peace, Tony.

  • Oh, another one gone! They may have had their flaws like any other human being - maybe more so in the public eye, but there was still a magic & special magetism from that golden Hollywood era wasn't the? Tony admitted his demons & mistakes. Was humbled & repentant by them. & became a artist of some repute. & so I hope he occupies a nice place in heaven. No doubt he's chuckling even now that his paintings are about to become more popular. R.I.P Bernie. From childhood to adult, I liked ya!
