Generally bands degenerate with time.
Most of the bands I've really liked, I have to admit, most really should've quit before they did. They burned out.
But these guys just kept getting better and better.
And then they abruptly quit at the summit of their musical powers, and that just left us all wanting more.
It was the rock and roll equivalent of coitus interruptus.
