Here, the Blossom Festival Band performs the 1812 near the end of the concert. Filmed on location in the lawn area. (The fireworks did not actually occur during the overture as the video portrays.)
Although the fireworks were not as protrayed in the video, they was loud pyrotechnics on the back of stage right used for the cannon part. The pavilion (where I was) got lit up by these, but it'd been nice to have had them lit at seperate locations backstage so the shadows would have varied like actual combat. Loras John Schissel conducts concerts that are pretty much carbon copies of each other, so go see one (he is decent, although the band is only semi-pro quality); but one is enough.
