@filmfanatic99 Sounds like you're describing the gallery system. Galleries DO demand, indirectly, what artists make. Once an artist has a good show that draws attention or critical acclaim, the galleries push those artists to go on making more and more of the same style work, because they know it will sell. This is why so many artists repeat what they do, ad nauseum.
