What a beautiful song...I don't believe Peter Brown did any thing i did not like..Absolutely sampled(partially)by Quik or that's the closet rendition since Vanilla Ice's "Ice Baby" came within a quarter a note of David Bowie's "Pressure"...

hey Jimy, I'm a sample expert and Quik didn't sample this song for his song because on Quik's first album when he sampled...he took the majority of the original songs without doing much work to them... you don't hear the guitars on Quik's groove at all, this song is nice though!!!! Quik's whole entire first album was sampled...

I'm pretty sure he did man. What guitars are you talking about? Listen to this song, Quik must have sampled the melody that kicks in at 0:13. Quik used a higher pitch though and a lil faster. But you gotta listen real close to Quik's groove 1.
