I think the reason the #17 porsche wanted to get in front of the #18 porsche during the race is because... in case they came into the pits at the same time like that, at least the #17 could position himself in a way where the #18 could pull out easier. But since he came in second, and had his spot in front, he had no choice but to position himself the way he did. That was kinda stupid.
