I remember when the Ufiizi was bombed in Italy - the article I saw showed art works which were permanantly lost. I felt a great sense of loss. I thought it might be interesting to recreate some of the works for posterity. I didn't have the talent or the resources and I was frustrated for 15 years. Then I see Picasso making art in a simple way. And I hear these works were destroyed. I decided to relieve my frustration by recreating non-existant works.
