As promised during this year's DonorsChoose fundraiser, a re-enactment with (dog) puppets of the debates between Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr about the philosophical foundations of quantum mechanics. The full thing is 18 minutes, and so had to be split up to fit on YouTube. This is Part 2 of 3.
Dialogue is paraphrased from quotes in Louisa Gilder's _The Age of Entanglement_ and David Lindley's _Uncertainy_, with one line taken from Graham Farmelo's Dirac biography _The Strangest Man_. There are occasional interjections from my dog, Emmy, because she's smart like that.
If you'd like a more detailed discussion of the physics involved, check out my book _How to Teach Physics to Your Dog_, which explains quantum physics through conversations with Emmy. It will be released 12/22/2009, and available wherever books are sold.
Obviously, puppets rock. But also it's a fascinating example of how Posterity is always more straightforward than the actual history.
Thanks for putting these on Youtube for anyone to watch.
