I just received my Panasonic DMC-TS1 and am testing the HD video. I set it to the highest setting (SH) and uploaded directly in the original *.mts format. I am using a 16 GB Transcend brand SDHC card rated at Class 6. The video was taken at dusk in my kitchen with all the lights on. From what I can tell, it looks like I am able to get about 2 hours of HD video on one 16GB card. The choppyness is due to YouTube's upload process. The videos are smooth on my PC, but once uploaded, they show choppy frame rates.
thanks a lot!

How do you "directly" upload this to youtube? I have this, and when you plug it in--there is the youtube icon on the right side little tray there, but when I click it (and check the video I want)--it doesn't do it.

What settings were you using for that video, I just got mine and it looks much more grainy.
