It's a beautiful Sunday morning... and two beautiful, clean and great-sounding ex-Conrail GP38-2's are assigned to a Conrail Shared Assets local train. Operating on the Staley Branch, these two EMD engines will be busy throughout Morrisville, Pennsylvania -- and we'll be right alongside of them the whole way! Starting off with a low-angle view of the duo, we'll head back up the line for the return trip. If you're a Morrisville area railfan, you know how awful the local drivers are. And today was no exception! The two RS3L crossing sequences that followed were beautiful for Conrail fans! After seeing the local in town, we'll head into Morrisville Yard. Please be aware, NJT and NS are VERY STRICT with photography on their property. I was granted permission to shoot this and my other videos. Continuing on -- after having the track switched, today's YP-MOR1 will roll into a lumber yard to pick up a loaded boxcar. After the pickup, we'll end our chase on this wonderful day with some radio chatter.. and the sound of two idling EMD 645 Turbo prime movers. Thanks for watching, and long live big blue!
By the way... if you're wondering about the lack of narration, it's because I have a cold. I will be narrating the next video, however. Keep an eye out for it -- a ride on New Jersey Transit's ACES train, plus tons of Atlantic City Line action near the beach!

Note the abandoned catenary pole at 2:00. I think they used to use GG1's and E-44 for freight way back when.

That's actually the only pole of that sort along the whole line. I've been wondering about it, too. There are no signs of electrification anywhere else on the Staley Branch, so this may just be something that has to do with NJT's Morrisville yard

If you can get in down at the steel mill at the end of Pennsylvania Ave, There are two High Hood GP-7s with Dyn brakes used for switching. They are old ,smoke like hi hell and are LOUD, You will love it .

Wow, I had no idea they had their own power, still! I know they used to have some ex-Army Baldwins. Isn't if off-limits though?

Nice captions addition! Makes the scenery a bit easier to follow! Though no narration?

Thanks very much! I'm glad it was helpful!
And no, not for now. I'll put it in the description.. but I have a cold and the narration would NOT have worked! However, I'm doing a survey of the Atlantic City Line this weekend, with a full ACES (Atlantic City Express Service) ride included -- narration will be neccessary for that one! Thanks again!
