Peter, you have a right to your opinion but your reason for disliking Hugo doesn't make sense. Because it doesn't follow the structure that movies are "supposed" to have, it's bad. I think it's called being different. Just because a movie strays away from the typical pattern doesn't make it bad. If you don't like it that's fine but it appears that your only problem with the film was the structure which is a stupid reason to hate a movie.

I 100% agree. He criticized Thor for the same reason too. he essentially said this about Thor. "It's a really entertaining movie but I didn't like it because it didn't follow the action movie structure." THAT MAKES NO SENSE! A movie is a bad because it's different?
