Chapter 4, Part 3

Then the line kept getting closer and we got our lunch and then we walked back to our table. We ate our food and then started talking bout mini subjects.

Our lunch period was already over and we heard the bell rang. We all said our "byes" and walked to our separate classes.

In my 5th pd class.
Nothing special, it was only Spanish. My native language elective..

In my 6th pd class.
Ohh, great,!! Biology, the least favorite subject of mine, coming after English, though...I never liked this class, I was the only girl sitting by myself while the other people sat in their own groups..

In my 7th pd class.
Finally, it's about time!!!! I had this class with Madison and Anna. This was the best period ever....we had to change for gym and we always headed outside to play a sport, mostly always baseball, my favorite sport.

In my 8th pd class.
Well...I was in geometry, this was my favorite subject, probably because I was good at it, but there were times where I couldn't understand the teacher...just because she still had her native accent...

"RRRRIIIINNNNGGGG!!!!!" and the bell rang, which means school was over....well for today. I walked to my locker and left all my books in there, I didn't have any homework, which was totally amazing for me.... I met Madison and Anna in the front of the school, where they already were and we walked over to the babysitter's house to pick up Emily.

When we got to the front door of the house I knocked at the door and a 40-year old woman opened it.
"Hi! Christine, you came for Emily?" she asked.
"Yes, Ma'am." I replied.

I then heard her call Emily over, where I assumed she was inside playing with the other little kids. While she handed me Emily's bag I saw Emily come over. I hold her hand and we soon started walking out her steps as I told the sitter, "Thanks, Mrs. Johnson!"
She replied, "No, problem, Christine. See you tomorrow." as she waved goodbye and then walked back in her home.

A couple minutes later, we arrived at the park. Madison and Anna ran to the swings as I fast-walked to the swings while carrying my sister. I placed her in the little toddler swing and began gently pushing her back and forth as I talked to Madison and Anna.
"So..what are we gonna do?" I asked.
"Um.. I don't know just hang.." Anna replied.
"Yeah, good idea!! I don't wanna do anything on my day off," Madison answered.

The thing was: Madison has started working ever since she was 16. She's been working at this place at the mall, but I'm not sure what it was called. The name was just really weird and different; I'm guessing it was French or something. It was one of the fancy restaurants at the mall.

"Ohh, yeah. So how is that job going to you? "I asked as I sat at the swing beside my sister and started swinging my self.
"Well, pretty good, but there are some timed that I just don't feel like taking other people's orders. You know what I mean? Madison replied.
Me and Anna nodded.
"Yeah, I know what you mean, that's why I quit my job." Anna replied.
I laughed, I knew what she just said was a complete lie.
"Sure, Anna. I thought it was because you kept slacking on the job and kept flirting with the customers.." I told her trying to hold up my laughter.
"Hey! It's not my fault that all the cute guys in town decided to come there."
"ohh, yeah figures..no guys ever go to Sports Authority," Madison replied sarcastically.
"Nope, not at all...why would they?" I replied mockingly.
"Alright, alright. I guess a sports store wasn't the best place to work at, but at least I tried to find myself a job." She defended herself.
"Hey! I never wanted a job and I still don't, well...at least not now," I replied.
"Why not?" Madison replied.
"Um...I don't know, I just wanna live my life with no concerns.." I replied.
"That's good! It's not like your parents are making you work, it's smart!" Madison replied.
"Yeah, but you know what?" Anna asked.
"Guys??" me and Madison said in unison.
Anna answered, "nooo..., I'm gonna work at the mall soon.."
"Exactly,... guys!!!!" Madison and I said in unison again, knowing that guys were her reason for applying there. Then we all bursted out laughing because of that fact.

We stayed for another 2 hours, but then it was time for us to go home, especially because Emily was getting bored. We said bye, and we headed our own ways.
