That's actually not overclocking at all, Apple has all processors in it's device underclocked by default, so by doing this, you're utilizing the full processor speed, on an iPhone 3GS it is underclocked to 600 MHz, but really has 833 MHz, that's as much as an iPhone 4 that's still underclocked by apple has.

i did the overclock (by deleting com.apple.) and i didn't notice a increase in Free RAM. is this normal or did i do something wrong?

@N0EPie0910 ...the overclock affects the processor, the ram vm hack affects the ram...
