I have this same song/performer on an earlier (1907) Victor "Patents" label. What I'm wondering is...is the recording posted here the same recording on a later pressing/label...or did Calve/Victor re-record the song? If it's different, then I want the 1916 Victrola version too!!
I have this on Pathé inside-out record. Didn´t know that Victor and Pathe worked together at that time. If I have the time to look throug my Pathe collection I will post a video of it.
Just showed what a record was like to my young grandson who has never seen a record.

Stephen Foster captured the essence of the south like no other song writer.Which is ironic considering he was not southern.
