  • If you cant get that one you can pick them up quite cheap in running order.

  • Nice engine. We got an old petter A2 with a ruined big end in my nans back garden that im trying to persuade dad to do up.

  • drag it out and get it going :-)

  • BANG and we all shit our pants like at welland lol

  • Thats what happems if you stop it and and leave it fro 30 mins and re start it with out any petrol , quite usefull to know :-)

  • I've never seen a petter junior run as well as that before!!!

  • They will run like that under load , it has had new bearings and rings so it is tight hence the two stroking, when she has run in we will put her to work on a 2" ruston centrifugal pump .

  • Would love a Petter Junior 5HP, they not that hevey as you think, they just give the impression of being hevey.

  • Bonjour.

Je suis Français et j'ai le même moteur petter junior que le vôtre.

Est ce qu'il est possible de retrouver le pot d'échappement qui est absent sue le miens ainsi que les masselotes de régulation.

    Merci.

    Jeff

  • Superb article in Stationary Engine Magazine, I really enjoyed reading about it's revival.

    Phill.

  • Hello, Did you buy that from the cheffins auction back in 2007? Dam nice engine! Regards Steve

  • just pick up an 8hp petter junior. its number is 60693 it looks identical to your has stamped date on inside of crankcase 12 10 20. do you have any info on these engines i will be posting a video clip of it. i also want to know once the engine starts you did something near the magneto was that the impulse release.

  • May I ask the number and age please?

  • Ive asked him again like you said and the problem is its technichly still my uncles. But still its properly rusty. the flywheel turns atleast but the big end would need re fabricating. Theirs a hole in the water tank and all the pipes that you can see from the front are missing. Its had bout half a ton of flowerpots on top of it for about 15 years so the back part of it isnt going to be in a good state. I try to at least persuade him to get it out and have it standing. I see what i can do.
