Shorter, I meant. I guess I just hope them to be longer. Totally, Intimacy has been their best album by far. Even more than Silent Alarm. And that album was tight.

Halo, Trojan Horse, Better Than Heaven, and Letter To My Son are real tight tracks from the new album that show their original style. Biko, Signs, talons, and Your Visits Are Getting Longer are some good tracks that show a new style.

I second everything stein said, except for the Ares bit; I've loved the song ever since the first time I've heard it. But it's true about Mercury - at first I was like, "OMG what the fuck did they do?!" next I was like, "OMG why the fuck is this song so addicting?! It's terrible!" and now I find it pretty intense.

It's a matter of keeping up with and accepting the change, really. Bloc Party ARE in fact musical geniuses, in my eyes. Constantly reinventing themselves.
