This song and the movie of the same title were so popular in 1966 that it gives one perspective of how dramatically society has changed (for the worse) since then. Everyone recorded this song, but Roger's was a hit, and a great one at that.

  • Has anybody else noticed that "Star Wars" is the same melody as "Born Free" -- just upside down? I had the privilege of performing as part of his back-up band, and he pointed that out as part of the show. He's not only a wonderful performer, he's a genuinely decent man.

  • @FreedomZealot Yes, now that you mention it, I remember seeing a video where he stated that. And it's true LOL.

  • Do you know the Roger Williams vertion of "Midnight Cow Boy"? Do you can to charghe that song? Thank's

  • @Paradojicamente Are you sure you're not thinking of Ferrante & Teicher?

  • I just found this 45 in the back of a closet at my parents' house. I loved this song when I was a kid.
