The interior of the Fox looks just like the Crest Theatre up in Sacramento. So if you want to experience a restored version of the Fox, head up to Sacramento and catch a show at the Crest.
Judging by the movie posters in the lobby, it appears that the theater was last operated in 1996. I always thought that it closed in the late 80s? Was it reopened briefly in the 90s?
Great video and spotlight on one of the wonderful Fox theatre's that is still intact on the inside and that was a certainly a treat to see, it's too bad the amazing neon marquee is gone but saving this historic theater would go a long way in the rejuvenation of Market street
i want this theater to be functional again. i have lived in Inglewood for 22 years and it has always been closed and i never understood why. still don't understand. i always felt that Inglewood should have had its own theater but now it seems like it just might happen.
What a truly magnificent and beutiful place. I cannot understand how a place looking like that with decorations just can be closed down.
I bet that after giving the place some touch up's, keeping as much of the original interior, having what's said a time capsule but still as a fully working cinema. It would be a one of a kind and whom wouldnt love just to step in and see & get the feeling of the place.
