Testing the new sail out. Also testing the sail in a reefed position and the active water ballast system. The water is still very cold so I am being cautious. I am not using the foil for all the tests today in around 15 MPH winds.

  • Nice to see someone going with a single ama as opposed to the trimaran configuration normally seen on kayak sailrigs. I had the option to go with the double, but for curiosity, Im developing the sailrig as a single ama. I like the hydrofoil as dual lift. Ive got my own ideas how ill design and build mine, but i like the simplicity of yours as well.

Great craft, and a realitive rarety in the market place.

  • it looks like a paddle ski (aussie surf lifesaving craft), main hull.

  • Nice Ed. This early season stuff is none too flattering for your svelte figure in the summer months. ;-)

Reall, the boat looks good and is showing terrific acceleration after tacking and gybing.

    Hat's off, Bubba.
