Nice job on the vid, nicely done.

Thanks for this video! I now have a better understanding about cracking. I recently did my first batch on stovetop with a whirlypop and panicked at the the intensity of the popping. I definitely will be interested in ordering one of these in the not to distant future.

Great video Josh! Sweet Maria's have earned my loyalty. I can, and do recommend your greens to ANY body who has sampled my obsession with the perfect "God Shot".
With over 2 years of your service and informative bean selection I have yet to hear of a credible complaint (and I read/lurk alot of forums) Bought the Gene Cafe from you folks well over 2 years ago and with heavy use just the heater element gave up the ghost.
Just ordered the Behmor last Tuesday, thanks for the fast shipping.
Thanks!

Excellent video. I was shown how to roast my own in a popcorn popper by my son in law. I have been doing it since Xmas and love the coffee. I asked him about some home roasters and he sent me a few names. One was the Behmor. I am going to seriously concider it, especially after this video. Thanks for the great work.

How often do you run the clean cycle? After every time you roast?

I roast in my microwave.

@sweetmarias thanks Tom. I really appreciate it. Can you recommend a good place to buy these 'small valve bags' for coffee? Sorry for all the questions, but I've never done this before! :)
well, yeah - we have custom 1/4 Lb valve bags made for us. we have 1/2 lb and 1 lb as well, but those are more stock items.

excellent video Josh. excellent.
However once the beans are roasted:
1) HOW LONG do you let the beans cool in that uncovered dish?
2) WHERE do you put the beans for the remainder of the 48 hours after roasting?

@sithummonchat Once coffee is room temperature you can transfer it - a mason jar works great. You might not want to tighten the lid seal all the way, just start the threads of the lid, so the CO-2 can outgas. Small valve bags for coffee work well too. You can seal the zip tie and the CO-2 will flush out the O-2 from the bag, even better for freshness. -Tom

This is a very good video. Thanks for posting. As a (mostly) happy Behmor owner for a few years, I was hoping there would be some reference to the quirky maintenance required to keep the roast times up to snuff. Even after following Behmor's instructions, my roast times have still increased, so I have to roast smaller batches (usually 9 oz. maximum.) Regardless, I think it's a great machine, and I recommend it to everyone I know who roasts coffee at home.

@eridgley We need to do an "advanced" behmor video to cover these things. This was just covering the most basic elements of the roaster... -Tom
