Do the comments below demonstrate that we are not total consumerist zombies - as Apple would like us to be?  I research marketing; last night o2 website said they had sold out and this morning, they had 'very limited stock'. Carrot dangling in the hope that we'll all start a frenzied queue. I hope the only people waiting about are Apple staff.

There's the sums. Can you afford £43,£46,£48,£51,£52,£55 per month for a phone, insurance and o2 contract ? You buy the phone, you buy the hype!!! And Hype is expensive!!!

As far as i know, iPhone 3G won't sell in Apple Retail Store. Only sell in CPW and O2 (if I am correct).

But why are people going to queue 3 days before on a wet London day for a year old phone with 3g thats been available for years on other phones? Must be crazy for buying one let alone queueing for one too.

i am shocked! there's ... nobody!!! jesus i thought there's gonna be a massive line of 21century slaves begging for something you can pick up day after launch like a normal person.
