When Alf loses it down a hill in his wheelchair he crashes into a private swimming pool which belongs to a black West Ham player who instantly reconizes Alf as the supporter who constantly gives him abuse from st the stands

Umm... You guys DO rearlise that the makers and actors of the show ALL state that you are supposed to laugh AT alf.. not agree with him?? Warren has been quoted saying how much he HATES when people say "Good on you my son" or "ALF you keep telling them blackies whats what". I don't blame him. Shows what small minded people watch tv and cant read between the lines or SEE whats being presented to them. Never the less AMAZING show and scene.

Just utterly brilliant! How ANY of them kept a straight face, I don't know! Priceless comment about Alf being "the product of a Tory education" Shows the hard left leanings of writer Jonny Speight. Trouble is, like all raving lefties, he didn't anticipate how much empathy the majority of the public had with Alf - we were all trying to rub along with each other, and that was always going to cause friction. However, making fun of it all is the best lubricant. (After KY Jelly, that is!)
