Album Version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zAGXrxF8V0
Peabo Bryson duet with Debbie Gibson, released only in Japan, 1999. This Single Mix is hart to get now. The one from his album "Unconditional Love" is another vocal arranged version (album mix), I guess. And I THINK you can get his CD, but I couldn't find it on major mp3 download sites so far. Anyone?
The picture is not a slide-show.
Light The World
by Peabo Bryson, Morry Stearns & Keizo Nakanishi
(Peabo)
We always knew...that we were meant to be
Two hearts, so true...in love so totally
But we're living in two different worlds
Who never could agree
So they say our love is wrong
And that there's no place where we belong
(Debbie)
Our hearts believe...that what we have is real
A love so free...we know the way we feel
But our worlds could not understand
So we hid our love away
But no matter what they say
We know our love will find a way
(Duet)
To shine...here in the light of the day
And we'll say to the world...let us fly...
Let the wings of love take us away
Then forever and ever, we'll go on together
(Debbie)
And never again will we hide
(Peabo)
All of the feelings we're feeling inside
(Unison)
We'll let the light of our love
Light the world
(Peabo)
Two separate lives...that seems so far apart
(Debbie)
A love denied...that fills our waiting hearts
(Peabo)
Locked away inside the dark of the night
In secret for so long
(Debbie)
But if we can just be strong...
If we can just keep holding on
(Peabo/Debbie)
Stronger than time, your love and mine
Is a shining star
It's time to show, the world we know
Who we are
(Duet)
Shine
Here in the light of the day
And we'll say to the world...let us fly...
Let the wings of love take us away
Baby now and forever, let's go on together
(Debbie)
And never again will we hide
(Peabo)
All of the love we
hold inside (Duet)
(Unison)
We'll let the light of our love
Light the world

Thanks for sharing...this is a different version than I have heard and I love it!! Sounded so right for radio here though...but artists like Deborah and Peabo are so unappreciated these days...however this still could make for a movie soundtrack...it just feels right for a great love story and soundtrack!

Great song. You can also find it as the final track on Debbie's "M.Y.O.B." album (Import Edition)

the prechorus/chorus and overall beat reminds me of "Between the Lines". Is it just me?
Also, it's got a saxophone solo too, which is something you don't normally hear anymore in music after the early 90's
