Amazing performance! Sings it out of the park! This is still one of my favorite versions of this song. Watching this even now gives me chills on so many levels. Cher is a true professional, talent and icon. We love you Cher!!

Not being much of a spectator sports fan, I never saw this either ... but holy shxx! I am not only 'moved', but absolutely blown away; Cher nailed it! I think it's right up there with Whitney's now classic rendition.

Personally I think Cher's performance of the Star Bangled Banner is the best --
Whitney as usual screams out her performance but Whitney's performance seems to lack the power and commanding vocal control that I think Cher displays in her performance. Another singer that I would have loved to have heard sing the Star Spangled Banner is Laura Branigan --- her voice was made to sing that song but as far as I know she never peformed the song at any major sporting event ...
