Steam & Christmas Markets in the Harz Mountains Day 5 Part 1

This is the Part 1 of the 5th day of The Railway Touring Company and Steam Railway Magazines Steam & Christmas Markets in the Harz Mountains Today we take a trip behind No. 41 1144 from Wernigerode to Halle and back, while in Halle we have a Vintage tram tour of the city and visit the DB museum! We start at Wernigerode Station were we see No. 41 1144 running round our train ready to depart, we also see 1897 built Mallet No. 99 5901, steam up for a special up the Brocken!

We get out at Halberstadt where we get overtaken by a former Soviet Union diesel on a freight.

Once on the move again we soon cross the River Saale, between Bernburg and Baalberge, and we can seen an Industrial Electric loco propelling some wagons up a steep incline and over the River Saale. We then pass through Baalberge Yard where we see No. 294 089-1 shunting. Just outside Kothen we get overtaken by an electric loco on a goods train formed of hopper wagons.

Once we have arrived at Halle we see No. 41 1144 run round the train and depart for the DB Museum for servicing.

Now we take a Vintage Tram tour of the city with Nos.
1197, 1187 and 212, are they arrives a Renault Twingo passes. Part one ends at Kollwitz, but in Part 2 we carry on with the Vintage Tram tour and make a visit to the DB Museum at Halle!

Dies ist der Teil 1 der fünften Tag des The Railway Touring Unternehmen und Steam Railway Magazine "Steam & Weihnachtsmärkte in der Harz Berge"heute wir nehmen eine Reise hinter Nr. 41 1144 von Wernigerode, Halle und zurück, während in Halle haben wir eine Vintage tram Tour der Stadt und besuchen Sie die DB Museum! Wir starten am Wernigerode Bahnhof wurden wir Nr. 41 1144 Ausführung finden Sie unter Runde unser Zug bereit, abzuweichen sehen wir auch 1897 Mallet Nr. 99 5901, gebaut Dampf bis für eine besondere bis die Brocken!

Wir kommen an Halberstadt, wo wir von einer ehemaligen überholt erhalten Sowjetunion Diesel auf einer Fracht.

Einmal auf dem Verschieben erneut überqueren wir bald die Saale River zwischen Bernburg und Baalberge und wir können eine Industrie Electric Lok gesehen drängen einige Wagen einen steilen Steigungswinkel und über die River-Saale. Wir dann Baalberge Yard wir Nr. 294 089-1 sehen-Rangierbetrieb passieren. Nur außen Kothen, die wir durch eine elektrische Lok auf ein Zug waren überholt erhalten gebildet, der Trichter Waggons.

Sobald wir in Halle angekommen sind, sehen wir Nr. 41 1144 ausführen Runde der Zug und für das DB-Museum für deren Wartung abweichen.

Nun nehmen wir eine Vintage Tram Tour der Stadt mit Nr. 1197, 1187 und 212. Teil eins endet am Kollwitz, sondern in Teil 2 wir weitermachen mit der Vintage Tram Tour und machen einen Besuch der DB-Museum in Halle!

@60103Henry If you drive with the train from "Magdeburg" to "Bernburg" you pass first "Waldau" and then the SAALE before (!) you come to the train station "Bernburg". Between station "Bernburg" and "Baalberge" is no river. If you leave "Baalberge" in direction "Biendorf" you pass the small river FUHNE. Google marked the wrong side of the "river-shared" town. The maintown (and the station too) is below and not above. See my PM for details... By the way: nice trip!
