that's one way to use that bayonet I just pull it out about 90 degrease and stick it in the ground to wait for the barrel to cool down

The real Russians used the bayonet to kill their enemy at close range, Not to open sardine canisters.
Im sure they would have been issued a combat knife to open stuff like that.

I'm sorry but we're not going to go around the field stabbing someone at close range, we have more respect for people than that. And besides, I'm sure if can openers were not available they would have done the same thing.
