"I Saw the Light" (Hank Williams, 1949)
Fret Not Gospel at the Noe Valley Ministry for the 2008 San Francisco Bluegrass and Old-Time Festival. Because it was the final encore song, we made sure the audience clapped like old-timers on the 1 and the 3 with their hands up prim close to the face.
Second Encore Recorded - February 8, 2008
We play, what could be called Americana gospel, the old-time roots music from the traditions of the black and white rural American churches, plus a few of our own.

Here in Georgia we call this Bluegrass Gospel, and it is still played here in independent fundamental Baptist churches, as well as at local opry gatherings. First heard this in 1977 in Okinawa, Japan, played by a Bluegrass band consisting of American military personnel. This type of old fashioned soul-inspirational music, together with preaching from the King James Bible, is all that is required to encourage a life-changing experience by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ into one's life.
