The Station Fire

This fire torched the foothills and mountains north of La Canada (pronounced "la can-YAH-da"). This region had not burned in the last 50 years. Fire season is here, kiddies. Just wait for the reports of mudslides in this region when the rains come during the winter months.

Holy cow, 70 miles away to get to a service call? That is a very very long ride. 25 miles is my limit.

I'm quite safe from that fire. I live about 70 miles away from it, but had to drive past that area to get to my service call. Very few structures were lost in the blaze. There are several other fires burning that are closer to my home.

The LA County Sheriff is are already letting some residents back to their homes. Homeowners will be washing everything down, including their air conditioners. Those Californians are a pretty resilient group.
