No idea what this would be called exactly. I was given the idea to try it in a class a while ago, and thought it would look pretty cool.
So as far as i know, all it's called is a backhandspring twist, or backhandspring with a twist.
Although you're not really twisting, you're just twisting your feet, but more of just landing them switched around.
Needs some work to be smoother but this was just me seeing how it would work!

TELL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS WOULD/SHOULD BE CALLED!
Cause twist is all i could think of even though it has no real element of a twist in it aside from your landing.

How to do:
Do your simple backhandspring but then switch your feet in the landing so that you face towards the way you went backwards, a.k.a. land in a reversed position. This is easily practiced by just doing a handstand and just come down one foot at a time into a reverse position.
If anyone really wants me too or if i feel like it i'll do a video tutorial on it.

Creating new gymnastics moves start by thinking one step ahead a basic trick, and then seeing what you could do to make it different/ or more complex. Try it, and see what you can come up with.

  • @lilcummy a back handspring is still a back handspring whether or not it has perfect form. This is the stupidest conversation I've ever had about things that don't even matter. Form is the last thing that matters, freerunning, parkour, gymnastics is all about having fun unless you're in a professional competition.

    Get over your want of form, and accept things for what they are. Don't be that picky person that everyone wants to just shut up.
