It has been less than a week since I came back from almost 2 weeks in Las Vegas, NV. Shooting both my open and limited-10 (which I also have video of, but you'll probably won't see for a while) through 16 stages was painless and fun as hell. I do not think I could have shot much better. My hits weren't bad and I had 3NS and 1M for the entire match. I had a lot of what I call "brain farts" which you can define as plans that went very badly, or were quickly forgotten once the buzzard went off. After the results came out, I shot 59% of the match winner, which in my opinion was absolutely amazing. I seriously expected 50% at the most with how slow I was shooting. I guess the small amount of penalties helped me out. Since the stages had so little points, each D, M, and NS was equivalent to a dead stage (well unless you shoot REALLY fast).

I would like to thank my OPN squad for making my first Nationals experience awesome. Thanks Zerwas for showing me how to properly break down stages...without you I would have done most of the stages the LONG way. And for the rest of squad, you were one of the most happy go lucky squads I've ever met! The more serious environment I'm in, the worst I shoot...humor is the cure all to bad things. I hope I meet you guys in another big match.

My bro will be making a USPSA video too, and it will probably be 100x better than mine (I usually describe his trip videos as "epic") so check it out sometime in the next couple of months.

A new job calls so there will be one more local USPSA and IDPA match before a long break from shooting. Thank you all for your support!

  • Question..how do you like your SJC mount? Well worth the money?

  • @aznconverter - Definitely! I've never had a problem so far with using it. You just gotta make sure that the SJC mount is firmly in the frame once you sight it in (using glue) since any shift will obviously effect the C-More sight.

  • Very impressive shooting! Some stages looked really difficult. I can imagine it was exciting and a lot of fun.

Your scolding the "innocent victim" was just hilarious. =D

About the "brain farts"... I think it's cool that you show everything, not just your best moves. Your videos are always refreshingly natural, as opposed to lots of edited better-than-reality stuff on Youtube.

By the way, I like your choice of background music. You seem to like video game remixes about as much as I do. ^_^

  • Yup I'm a geek. I don't consider it sad, but rather my interests that my music collection is about 80% video game or cartoon BGM LOL. I bet most people don't know where the music comes from though so I'm good hahaha. Glad you enjoyed it. Let me know when your Glock starts runnin' again!

  • Wow, as you relaxed your shooting got smoother. Looks like you had fun at the nationals.

  • Another terrific post from the adorable Gamingoddess. You are just too cool for school!

  • Thanks for the Vid.

It was inspiring. I'm going to see if I can get my POV cam ready for the MG Nats.

  • So far all geeks I've encountered were awesome people, so nothing wrong with that. =)

Yeah, I know that, I have lots of remixes in my collection too, neatly sorted in categories. Dwelling of Duels is one of my favorite sites... I mean, excellent music for free and without copyright, what else could you want?

Sure, I'll let you know. Just waiting for the package to arrive and then I'll test the new spring as soon as possible. Hopefully I can get a new cam soon and will also make videos then.
